Why We Love This Coffee

A vibrant anaerobic natural from Uganda’s Kigezi Highlands, produced by 300 smallholder farmers. Juicy tropical fruit and berry sweetness meet red wine, citrus, and warming spice for a bright, complex cup with a lingering sweetness.

A carefully controlled anaerobic natural process. Ripe cherries are dry-fermented in sealed drums for 72 hours before being sun-dried on raised beds, then finished under shade to reach a stable moisture content. The dried coffee is cured for two months in a temperature-controlled warehouse.

About the Producers

This coffee is produced by 300 smallholder farmers in Uganda’s Kigezi Highlands, organized through Kigezi Valley Coffee and supported by Mountain Harvest. Together, they focus on farmer education, transparent pricing, and careful processing to bring the region’s potential for high-quality Arabica to the world.
